Orlando’s love for music began at an early age as he viewed music as a creative outlet and the universal language for all. He often played around with music, mixing different beats in his childhood home of Jacksonville, FL (Duuuval!). It wasn’t until his first year as a freshman at Valdosta State University that he had the chance to put his passion of music and DJ skills into action. He made his DJ debut when he threw his first party on campus with the intention to just meet and mingle with other students. The party was a huge hit and students loved the music so much that they quickly began asking him to DJ their events. This is where DJ “O” was born!

 

With events on the horizon, DJ “O” spent countless hours self-teaching and perfecting his craft. Eventually he had weekly gigs from house parties to clubs, bars, lounges, and even homecoming events. Wanting to differentiate himself from other DJs in the area he began pushing mixtapes, hosting his own events, and heavily marketing himself as the social media era was on the rise. 

 

Upon graduation, he joined a career which afforded him the opportunity to travel all over the world. This was exciting as it gave him the opportunity to become a mobile DJ at the same time, ultimately pushing him to be at an elite level. Success quickly followed as he began doing hundreds of weddings along with private, corporate, retail and sporting events. Most recently he expanded to political events and toured as the head DJ for Rev. Raphael Warnock, who won a U.S. Senate seat for the state of Georgia. 

 

DJ “O” ‘s vision is to provide more than music, but the ultimate experience! He is the CEO and creator of the The DJ Lounge, an organization whose goal is to create unforgettable moments for their clients by providing the best talent at all their events!
